Dr. Sarah Thompson is a licensed psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University.
Dr. Thompson began her career working in community mental health clinics, providing individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. She quickly discovered her passion for working with individuals who had experienced trauma, and she pursued additional training in trauma-focused therapies such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Over the years, Dr. Thompson has expanded her clinical expertise to include a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. She has also developed a specialization in working with individuals who have experienced domestic violence and intimate partner abuse.
